Born and raised in SW London with her younger sister, Fiona Abrahams adored fashion from a young age, inspired by the beautiful gowns and outfits from the 1960’s and 1970’s discovered in her mother’s wardrobe.

Given scraps of fabric by her Aunt as a young girl, she made a wardrobe for her dolls, to the astonishment of her parents and a passion was born! Upon leaving school, she went on to study fashion design at UCA Epsom.

​

Her career began in bespoke luxury interiors working for a family friend and fine artist before progressing into fashion as a fabric buyer and sales account manager followed by a chance meeting that led to an opportunity to join Designer Resource, a niche recruitment agency in 2000.

 

Over the next 5 years, Fiona worked in a small team on global opportunities with brands and businesses including Nike, Puma, Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Topshop, Abercrombie, Ripcurl, Dewhirst, DKNY, D&G, Vanessa Bruno, Timberland and many more before moving on to Freedom People to bring an international focus.

A year later she joined Four Seasons Recruitment and developed their Wholesale, Design & Production division. 3 years later the global financial crash led the company to make significant redundancies however despite the economic climate, people were keen to continue working with her.

 

With authentic in-house opportunities seemingly scarce, encouraged by longstanding clients and candidates, Fashion Therapy was born in 2009. After an Australian collaboration, the business then pivoted ascending to Fashion Heaven Inc. in 2014.

Today we partner with an international array of emerging and established contemporary and luxury brands. We work with precision and expertise to source and introduce talented individuals from interns to senior executives and every level in between harnessing the art of objectivity. Businesses are about people and Fiona has an innate instinct for matching both.
